• HOW LONG CAN COWHIDES LAST?
  With proper care, cowhide rugs can last for many decades, often a lifetime. Their natural durability, combined with regular maintenance such as gentle vacuuming and avoiding excessive sun exposure, helps preserve their quality and appearance over time.
• HOW THICK ARE THEY?
  Cowhide rugs typically range between 1/8 to 1/4 inch, depending on the natural variations of the hide.

• ARE THEY PET APPROVED?
  Most pets, such as dogs and cats enjoy the soft texture and natural warmth of cowhide rugs. The smooth surface and durability make them resistant to pet hair and easy to clean.
• DO THEY SHED?
  Shedding should not occur if the cowhide is cared for properly. However, shedding may happen over time in areas with high foot traffic, excessive rubbing, exposure to direct sunlight, or where heavy objects are placed.

• CAN THEY BE USED FOR UPHOLSTERY?
  Yes, cowhide rugs can be used for upholstery. Their durable and flexible nature makes them an excellent material for furniture coverings, adding a unique and stylish touch to sofas, chairs, and ottomans. Cowhide is naturally resistant to wear and tear, making it a long-lasting choice for upholstery.

Each rug is meticulously handcrafted using natural materials and hand-trimmed to achieve the perfect shape. It's normal to notice some loose hair or light shedding during the first six months.

To maintain your rug, shake off the dust with a broom or vacuum gently at least once a week using low suction and avoiding the beater brush, which can cause damage. Regular, light vacuuming can help minimize shedding over time.

Keep your rug out of prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading. Rotate it every 3–6 months to ensure even wear and maintain its appearance over time.

For Spills, soak up with a paper towel or sponge immediately. Remove solid matter with the blunt edge of a knife by scraping gently in the direction of the hair. Then, wipe with a damp (not wet) sponge or cloth using mild soapy solution.

A rug pad is not necessary, as the natural suede backing of our rugs adheres well to the floor, keeping them smooth and in place.
