Zebra Black on Black Devore Cowhide
Tanned in Brazil
Story
The Zebra Black on Black Devore Cowhide skips color contrast almost entirely and works through texture instead — hairless, devore-style striping set against a sleek, fully dyed black base, so the pattern only reveals itself as light catches the surface at different angles. The devore stripe pattern is consistent piece to piece; any tonal shifts are minimal, as the dyed finish creates a unified base.
It's still a genuine full hide underneath the finish: 100% natural cowhide with a natural suede backing that holds it to the floor without a pad. The smooth leather surface doesn't collect dust or pollen the way carpet fiber does, and cleanup is as simple as a damp cloth for spills and a weekly low-suction pass for dust.
This piece comes out of the same Southern Brazil tannery — Leather Working Group Gold Standard certified, Oeko-Tex® tested — but reads as a quieter, more tonal alternative to the brand's higher-contrast striped pieces. Sized X-Large at 7' x 6', it only gets richer-looking with age.
